Project goals
encourage Lithuanian farmers to maintain and regulate soil pH using innovative, environmentally friendly products, with the aim of reducing nitrogen losses due to gaseous nitrogen volatilization, improving plant nutrition, increase the cation exchange capacity of the soil, and ensure higher agricultural yields.

Target group
Persons engaged in agriculture, food production, and forestry.

Detailed summary
The project aims to demonstrate and implement innovative solutions for reducing soil acidification using alternative liming materials, including byproducts from the sugar industry. The technology being demonstrated will help improve soil pH, reduce the impact of toxic elements, activate biological processes, and optimize the nutrient cycle. The project will contribute to more sustainable soil management, the application of circular bioeconomy principles, and more environmentally friendly farming practices.
