Project goals
By combining the knowledge, capabilities and experience of consulting and scientific institutions and agricultural operators, and applying an integrated approach, trials will be conducted to demonstrate a set of measures that include assessment of milk fat fatty acid analysis, feeding optimization and genetic improvement, and which would increase the efficiency, quality and sustainability of milk production.

Detailed summary
The aim of the project is to develop a sustainable approach that improves the efficiency of milk production, balances economic and ecological requirements, improving product quality and increasing productivity. This would strengthen the sustainability of the dairy sector as a whole, ensuring its responsiveness to changing consumer needs and environmental challenges. The actions set out in the project implementation plan contribute to the objectives of the European Green Deal, the Farm to Fork Strategy, and the preservation of biodiversity. They shall promote the sustainable use of natural resources, climate change mitigation and adaptation, including the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The project and the combination of innovative and innovative measures, with a 10 % increase in production, would result in an additional annual average-productive cow of around 860 kg of milk. With a buying-in price of EUR 0.40/kg, this would amount to an additional annual income of EUR 447,20. The practical application of the results of the project on farms will make it possible to respond to market demand, deliver higher quantities of sustainable quality milk and generate higher incomes, strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of farms to crises.
