To create a model of processing sea buckthorn harvest (berries, leaves, seeds and twigs) into sea buckthorn bioconcentrates for humans and the earth in a closed-cycle bioactive substances farm, avoiding the loss of biologically valuable substances and, thus, 2. To promote the development of these technologies of biologically valuable substances from secondary berry raw materials, consistent with the ideology of the green course, in national berry growing farms or small enterprises.

The project's target group is sea buckthorn growers, companies in the berry processing sector, small and medium-sized farms, food and nutraceutical manufacturers, food technology and biotechnology specialists, consultants and scientists. The project is focused on farms and businesses that seek to effectively use the entire sea buckthorn harvest, reduce biological material losses and implement circular economy solutions.

The project activities contribute to the target areas of the Lithuanian Rural Development Programme 2014−2020, measure "Cooperation" activity area "Support for the establishment and development of EIP activity groups", such as promoting innovation, cooperation and development of the knowledge base in rural areas, strengthening the links between agriculture, food production and forestry and scientific research and innovation, including the pursuit of better environmental management and environmental performance. The project activities will be carried out by ensuring close cooperation between science, production and consulting. High-value-added products from secondary raw materials and by-products obtained during the project will contribute to the modernization of farms and the improvement of economic indicators. Sea buckthorn cultivation and processing, by creating high-value-added products, contributes to the diversification of agricultural activities, increasing the competitiveness of primary producers by better integrating them into the agricultural and food chain through quality systems, adding value to agricultural products, promoting local markets and short supply chains, producer groups and organizations, and inter-branch organizations.
