Encourage poultry farms to use by-products (pulp) from flaxseed oil production (expeller) in their feed rations to ensure poultry productivity and to produce healthier meat with higher nutritional and biological value, enriched with n-3 (omega) polyunsaturated fatty acids.

The project aims to introduce an innovative solution for balancing poultry feed by using flaxseed oil cake produced in Lithuania. During the demonstration, genetically modified soy meal will be replaced with locally sourced raw material that enriches poultry feed with n-3 (omega) fatty acids. The project will create the conditions for producing poultry meat with higher nutritional value that is more beneficial to human health and will promote the more sustainable use of by-products in animal husbandry.
